My best piano composition since moving to Shanghai. (Also: I rode an elephant)
This week's song is a little bit different.
Before I ever sang - before I even started writing music - I played piano.
Perhaps like many of you, my parents made me take piano lessons when I was really young. I HATED them (at first), but 17 years later, I couldn't be more thankful that they did. Each of my first major musical successes (6 years ago in the US, 6 months ago in China) both came from my piano music.
And today, I'm excited to share one of my favorite new pieces since moving to Shanghai:
Rest assured, all of my kids are going to grow up playing instruments...whether they like it or not! :)
